Release date: 2023/12/19 14:12:05

Kang Bai’wan’s Mansions, one of the country's three renowned manors, stands as a representative of the fortress-style architecture found on the Huangtu Plateau in North China during the 17th and 18th centuries. It was officially designated as a national key cultural heritage site in 2001 and received the prestigious 4A-level rating as a national tourist attraction in 2005.
Spanning over four centuries and thirteen generations, the prosperous Kang family's legacy mirrors the profound and enduring cultural heritage of the He and Luo regions, including the rich traditions of Confucian and local cultures. The manor showcases remarkable examples of Central Plains art through its exquisite stone carvings, woodwork, and brick sculptures. Kang Bai’wan’s Mansions encompasses a distinctive cultural tourism experience that seamlessly integrates the historical He and Luo culture, architectural marvels, residential customs, commercial practices, official residence traditions, folk traditions, enchanting gardens, and military influences from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
