On September 26th, the press conference was held in the press conference hall of Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government to announce the upcoming 2024 Pentathlon World Championships, Paris Olympic Games Modern Pentathlon Qualification Tournament, and the UIPM 2024 Laser Run World Championships.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and attention towards the modern pentathlon discipline. The UIPM 2024 Pentathlon and Laser Run World Championships are globally recognized as the most prestigious events in the field of modern pentathlon. They serve as the final opportunities to qualify and earn points for the Paris Olympic Games, with the top three athletes securing their participation in this prestigious event. Furthermore, this championship marks the concluding edition of the Combined Events, which includes riding, making it a momentous international competition that will be etched into the annals of modern pentathlon's historical development.
By hosting the World Championships in China, we aim to foster the widespread popularity and advancement of modern pentathlon within our country. Selecting Zhengzhou as the host city not only adds a new emblem to the flourishing sports landscape of Henan Province but also reflects our firm belief in Zhengzhou's capabilities and competence to successfully organize such esteemed events. Next year, Zhengzhou will seize the global spotlight, using the platform of modern pentathlon as a mirror and sports as a window, to introduce the world to the new Henan and showcase the progress of Zhengzhou.
