Yellow River Culture
The Central Plains region in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River has been identified as the earliest inhabited area by humans, thanks to its favorable climate and abundant resources. Among the stretches of the Yellow River, the Zhengzhou section stands out as a profound testament to the cultural heritage of the Chinese civilization. As the nurturing mother river, it has witnessed the remarkable journey of the Chinese nation.
Situated at the heart of the birthplace of the Chinese nation, the Zhengzhou Yellow River Scenic Area holds a significant position. Within this area, you will find the imposing monumental sculpture of the two emperors, Yan and Huang, which stands at a remarkable height of 106 meters. This remarkable creation, accomplished after two decades of dedicated work, proudly claims the title of the world's tallest sculpture. Adjacent to it lies the Peach Blossom Ravine Scenic Area, a place where the Loess Plateau and the North China Plain converge, marking the boundary between the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River.
