The successful landing of the UIPM 2024 Pentathlon and Laser Run World Championships in Zhengzhou, Henan, is the result of recognition, support, and strong endorsement from the UIPM, the CMPA, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Government. It is also the result of the vigorous development of mass fitness and the construction of sports in Henan Province and Zhengzhou City. Most importantly, it is the result of the active participation and joint efforts of the people of the whole province.
During the bidding process for this event, we actively planned, focused on promotion, and efficiently prepared. We have firmly implemented the deployment of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government to promote the high-quality development of the sports industry and organize "high-level" sports events, aiming to activate the enthusiasm in Henan and enhance the city's international influence by introducing high-quality, high-standard events.
The UIPM 2024 Pentathlon World Championships are not only an international A-level (top-level) event but also the qualification competition for the Paris Olympics Pentathlon. It is also the last competition featuring riding events. Therefore, the UIPM 2024 Pentathlon World Championships hold significant importance. In order to bid for this World Championships, several cities competed fiercely. The Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government, and the Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee and Government attached great importance and provided strong support. They formulated detailed bidding and preparation plans and made sufficient preparations in terms of venues, organization, and operational guarantees. After more than three months of unremitting efforts and intense competition, Zhengzhou City finally won the hosting rights.
