Recently, the Organizing Committee of UIPM 2024 Pentathlon & Laser Run Championships (referred to as the "Zhengzhou Twin World Championships") released the official emblem and slogan for these two events. The emblem elements and slogan, rich in Central Plains characteristics, will serve as an important platform to promote and introduce Zhengzhou to the world. They interpret the themes of green, openness, ecology, and technological consideration of these two World Championships, and will present a more environmentally friendly, inclusive, and open events, offering the world an eco-friendly international competition that integrates technological innovation with cultural tourism and sports industry.

The emblem of Zhengzhou Twin World Championships is themed of "The Center of Heaven and Earth," skillfully blending shapes and colors to vividly express the unique charm and boundless vitality of Zhengzhou. The primary design of the emblem is a character "中" (meaning "center"), which, through artistic manipulation, can also form the character "功" (meaning "achievement" or "skill"), highlighting Zhengzhou's reputation as a city of kung fu and branding it as "Kung Fu Zhengzhou." It showcases Zhengzhou's international status in the world while also evolving into the letter "Z," which is the first letter of Zhengzhou, symbolizing the thriving international city standing robustly in the heart of the Central Plains. Additionally, the character "中" resonates with Zhengzhou’s geographical location and historical culture. As one of Zhengzhou’s most prominent cultural symbols of Zhengzhou, it represents and embodies the image of Henan people and is a vivid manifestation of the Chinese spirit of righteousness, harmony and balance.

The emblem interprets "Zhengzhou Twin World Championships" through the use of the color "red, yellow, green, and blue." The red element highlights Zhengzhou's importance as a key birthplace of Chinese Kung Fu, rich in Kung Fu culture; the yellow one represents the color of the mother river -- the Yellow River, symbolizing the splendid Yellow River civilization; the green part reflects the green city of Zhengzhou, as well as representing the green and ecological theme of this competition; blue is the main color of the International Pentathlon Union, at the same time reflecting the openness and inclusiveness of Zhengzhou, symbolizing technology and wisdom. These bright and vibrant colors signify the prosperity, vitality, and hope of modern pentathlon. The overall design of the emblem is simple yet dynamic, interpreting the Olympic spirit of being “faster, higher, stronger, more united”.
